We need as many judges and stewards as we can get!

We will hold three pre-judging sessions. These will take place at High Cottong Brewing Co. prior to Extravaganza! Day (Feb 24th). We greatly appreciate the help from all of our judges and stewards and we hope that you can join in as many judgings sessions as possible.

Sort Day - All hands on deck!

Sunday Jan 28th @ 6:00 pm @ High Cotton Brewing Co. (food provided!!!)

Before we can start judging entries, we will have the Sorting Day. This consists of taking all the beers that have been shipped to us or dropped off out of their packages, sorting them by category, putting judging labels on each bottle (not at random, each entry has its own number) and making sure that all entries are accounted for. In addition, we make sure that all entries are either marked as paid (via PayPal) or include cash/check.

Session 2 @ High Cotton Brewing Co.: Mon Feb 12th, 6:00-9:00 pm CST

Session 3 @ High Cotton Brewing Co.: Sat Feb 17th, 1:00-5:00 pm CST

Session 4 @ High Cotton Brewing Co.: Wed Feb 21st, 6:00-9:00 CST

Extravaganza! Day @ High Cotton Brewing Co.: Sat Feb 24th, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Judges:

If you are a BJCP certified judge please register and specify your availability and preferred styles.

If you are not certified or are completely new to judging we need you too! We will place less experienced judges in teams with more experienced judges for a balanced level of experience within each judging team. We do ask that new judges attend our judge training sessions to learn about the process. Please contact our officers for more information!

Stewards:

Stewards help organize beers into flights for judging, bring the beers to judges, collect completed scoresheets and possibly get more beer for the data entry specialist. If you want to help out but aren't comfortable judging this might be the job for you! Stewards play a critical role in the competition.
